Radiation-based level detection
In radiation-based level detection, a radioactive source emits focused gamma radiation that is received by a detector on the opposite side of the container. If the gamma radiation is blocked by the medium, the detector picks up only a small amount of radiation or none at all. The intensity changes of the incoming radiation are passed on by a relay as signals.
PROTRAC point level sensors can be used as either minimum or maximum sensors.
