hp-TECHNIK was founded by Hartwig Paulsen in 1970 as an engineering office in Karlsruhe. The first task consisted in consulting and doing project work for the heating industry. 

Very quickly an own production facility followed and production of industrial pumps and components for the heating industry and for the plant engineering started.

Since management put an emphasis on accurate order processing and highest quality for its products purchased components, hp-TECHNIK very quickly got a good reputation for its quality and punctuality.
